- Permits & fees
- 2026–27 season rules (checked October 2026): CONAF has closed the circuit until at least October 31, 2026. It will decide on reopening based on weather and safety and announce it through its official channels. At the last reopening (December 2025), CONAF capped the circuit at 100 people a day, made it one-way only, and required registration at Guardería Coirón. Park entry must be bought at pasesparques.cl at least 24 hours ahead, and every night must be booked with Las Torres Patagonia or Vértice Patagonia.
- Getting there
- Four bus companies run from Puerto Natales to Laguna Amarga, Pudeto and the park administration, leaving at 7:30 and 14:30. Puerto Natales is 250 km by paved road from Punta Arenas.
- Good to know
- Check CONAF and Pases Parques before you book. After a fatal incident on November 17, 2025, CONAF closed the circuit and has reopened and closed it again since then. The Serón–Dickson, Dickson–Los Perros, Los Perros–Paso and Paso–Grey stretches are closed in winter.
- CONAF rates Los Perros to Paso (8 km, about 6 hours, over the pass) and Paso to Grey (7 km, about 5 hours) as demanding. Between Grey and Paso there are two suspension bridges more than 20 m high.
- Register at every ranger station, and at Los Perros and Paso also register when you leave.
- After heavy rain or snowmelt, rivers rise quickly. Do not try to cross if the water is above your knees. There is no phone signal on the interior trails.
- The distance here adds up CONAF's official segment lengths for the loop. Side trips to Mirador Británico (10.8 km return from Italiano) and Mirador Base Torres (18.8 km return from Hotel Las Torres) are extra.
