Jumbo Pass

The hike
Jumbo Pass sits on the divide between the Jumbo and Glacier creek valleys in the Purcell Mountains, west of Invermere. The trail climbs quickly through subalpine forest to wildflower meadows, a small backcountry cabin and a panorama of hanging glaciers and granite peaks.
The drive in on rough forest service roads keeps it quiet — you'll often have the ridge to yourself.
